Staci in Blunderland

Do you ever do something that makes you wonder if it's really you doing it? I had two of those today.

First off was an incredible book club lunch. Every single person in my book club made it today, and it was fantastic! Food = delicious. Conversation = divine. Basking in the wisdom and friendship of incredible women = phenomenal. I felt humbly blessed as I pulled out of the driveway. Uplifted. Grateful for good neighbors.
I followed this delightful lunch with a trip to the library - all by myself! I even sat on a couch, kicked my feet up on an ottoman, and perused American Patchwork & Quilting - discovered a new machine quilting design that I'm going to have to try this weekend!

I picked up my reusable green library bag and walked right out the door. This set off the alarms, and one of the nice libarians asked if I'd forgotten to check something out. I looked down into my bag and replied,
"Yep - everything!"
The librarians must have got a kick out of that. They were still laughing about it when I successfully maneuvered the sensors on the way to my car.

  1. That sounds like something I would do! I could live at the library; I go there enough. And I'm always sitting in a comfy chair and getting completely lost in a book. It's the best.

I got here from the Ultimate Blog Party. Hope you have a great weekend. UBP is a blast!

  2. At least they realize it was just one of those things and not anything underhanded :)

Oh yes, there are times I've done things that I can't believe I did.

Thank you for visiting with me and I hope you enjoy the party hopping!

  3. Too funny! I almost left the grocery store the other day with all my groceries still bagged and sitting on the checkout stand. I was so preoccupied with carrying my little one and putting my change away. They had to come after me and remind me to grab my bag. Oh well. Always a good laugh:)

  8. Visiting from the UBP! A book club sounds lovely - wish I had more time for reading books! I'll admit in college my husband and I were in a Virgin MegaStore having a bit of a heated discussion. He had a few cds in his hand to buy and as our discussion deepened and escalated we headed out of the store with the cds forgotten and what do you know - the alarms went off and we didn't even notice so security had to chase us down in the parking garage! So embarrassing (and a little scary) as they separated and questioned us, but thankful they realized it was honest mistake or immature (and absent-minded) kids.

  9. I like the Library and all but the books at ours smell so bad. And they're all sticky. So I don't really go there anymore :( But I haven't been reading much anymore either ;) To much time spent on WoW.
